Vogue is seeking a Senior Beauty Editor, who will manage and curate the daily editorial needs of the section—which spans traditional beauty trends, wellness and health pieces, celebrity-driven news posts, and deeply reported features. They must have a truly digital mindset, live and breathe lifestyle content in all its forms—and across all platforms. The ideal candidate should be organized, news-orientated, and forward-looking. They will work closely with Vogue’s Editorial Leaders to create a mix of impactful long-lead stories and daily posts to serve a growing and varied readership.

Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee all Beauty content on Vogue.com, including long-form features and all manner of news posts, managing projects from concept to execution
• Generate new ideas across platforms (social, video, print, etc.)
• Top edit 3+ pieces of content daily
• Create and assign supplemental content to amplify major print features
• Create inventive content plans for all tentpole events (Awards Season, Fashion Month, Met Gala) and work with SEO team to strategize and pre-plan
• Identify and work with global markets on all relevant stories or packages
• Meet section KPIs including UVs, engagement, and time spent
• Work with freelancers and internal team to grow Beauty content across platforms and cultivate new and diverse voices and perspectives

Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years of editorial experience in beauty or fashion space
• Proven experience writing highly-trafficked, culturally-resonant work
• Ability to balance daily deadlines with longer-lead stories across platforms
• A big thinker with experience in identifying online trends and mining social media for content ideas and new business opportunities
• Experience using content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and analytics/SEO tools to publish a high volume of daily content
• Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience working as part of a large, collaborative team
• Proven ability to use editorial feedback to improve work
• A strong roster of freelance writers and sources, with experience overseeing the work of other writers, editors, and freelancers

The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-115,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

The Associate Visual Editor assists with curating and producing innovative visual content across platforms (including social, video, digital, print, experiential) that meets brand integrity and production quality standards, while remaining on schedule and on budget.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with the team to understand visual/photo needs for assigned projects.
• Assist with reviewing portfolios and tracking contacts for agencies and photographers.
• Contribute to pitching cross-platform ideas that ladder up to established brand identity and visual strategy.
• Own research, image selection, and credits
• Assist with all aspects of cross-platform photo shoot production including:
• Curating photographer lists and creating visual mood boards
• Commissioning teams and liaising with agents, photographers, studios, stylists, hair/makeup, catering, and other vendors throughout the project
• Creating and updating timelines, schedules, budgets, shot-lists, call-sheets, and other production documents
• Attending and managing on-set production, as needed
• Coordinating the post-production process for lo-res and hi-res photo selection and final delivery (editing, processing, retouching, color correcting, and archiving all files in an organized manner)
• Assist with tracking and updating the photo budget across platforms.

Requirements:
• 2-3 years work experience in photo/visual production or related field, ideally with knowledge of various image libraries, stock agencies, photographers, stylists, etc.
• Budding editorial judgement and the ability to contribute to visual stories across platforms.
• A highly motivated self-starter who can manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• A strong eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for photography and illustration related to style/fashion, culture, politics, and identity content; exhibits a shared interest in fashion editorials

Assistant to the Editor in Chief- American Vogue and Global Chief Content Officer

Overview:

This is a critical role in supporting the Global Chief Content Officer and the Executive Assistant to the Global CCO. They will assist with the administration and coordination of meetings, events/engagements, special projects, and overall flow of communication and information through the Global CCO’s office. The successful candidate will be extremely organized, efficient, deadline-oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, matrixed, digital media environment. Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic calendar management including coordinating and supporting the Global CCO’s external event schedule
• Field calls and emails to the Global CCO’s office
• Assist with all internal meeting arrangements including booking rooms, technology set-up, preparation/printing of materials, coordination of attendees, etc.
• Manage general office administration and supplies, liaising with the facilities group to coordinate office maintenance as necessary.

• At times, may contribute to content assignments, research, and/or special projects.
• Collaborates effectively with editorial leaders and internal partners such as Finance and HR to help the Global CCO execute company-wide programs such as performance and compensation reviews, workforce planning, talent reviews, etc.

Minimum Requirements:
• College degree and 1-2 years combined internship/work experience providing administrative support, ideally in the digital media, content, or publishing industry
• Proficiency in G-Suite
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills – comfortable liaising with people at all levels across global boarders
• Strong written communication skills including grammar and proof-reading ability
• Strong organizational and time-management skills including ability to juggle multiple tasks at once while being extremely punctual, proactive, and deadline-oriented
• Solutions-oriented with an ability to think on your feet and demonstrate personal accountability, initiative, and follow-through
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Confidence, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude balanced by humility and a willingness to learn
• Experience working with multiple countries/markets, a big plus
