Vogue is seeking a Senior Beauty Editor, who will manage and curate the daily editorial needs of the section—which spans traditional beauty trends, wellness and health pieces, celebrity-driven news posts, and deeply reported features. They must have a truly digital mindset, live and breathe lifestyle content in all its forms—and across all platforms. The ideal candidate should be organized, news-orientated, and forward-looking. They will work closely with Vogue’s Editorial Leaders to create a mix of impactful long-lead stories and daily posts to serve a growing and varied readership.

Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee all Beauty content on Vogue.com, including long-form features and all manner of news posts, managing projects from concept to execution
• Generate new ideas across platforms (social, video, print, etc.)
• Top edit 3+ pieces of content daily
• Create and assign supplemental content to amplify major print features
• Create inventive content plans for all tentpole events (Awards Season, Fashion Month, Met Gala) and work with SEO team to strategize and pre-plan
• Identify and work with global markets on all relevant stories or packages
• Meet section KPIs including UVs, engagement, and time spent
• Work with freelancers and internal team to grow Beauty content across platforms and cultivate new and diverse voices and perspectives

Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years of editorial experience in beauty or fashion space
• Proven experience writing highly-trafficked, culturally-resonant work
• Ability to balance daily deadlines with longer-lead stories across platforms
• A big thinker with experience in identifying online trends and mining social media for content ideas and new business opportunities
• Experience using content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and analytics/SEO tools to publish a high volume of daily content
• Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience working as part of a large, collaborative team
• Proven ability to use editorial feedback to improve work
• A strong roster of freelance writers and sources, with experience overseeing the work of other writers, editors, and freelancers

The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-115,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

Primary Responsibilities:

End to end

Compensation & Schedule:

• Familiarity with some of our core brands, or eagerness to learn them
• Able to work on your feet and lift 25 lbs

The Video Editor, Social Media, Vogue must possess a thorough understanding of brand goals, identity, storytelling, and business objectives. Candidate must have prior experience editing video for a publication or brand and be willing to work outside of traditional work hours to accommodate tentpoles, breaking news, and major cultural events.

The role will report to the Director, Creative Development, Social + Visuals daily but receive KPIs from VP, Digital Video Programming and Development, Vogue (English Language) and Vogue’s Creative Editorial Director, VOGUE (English).

Key Responsibilities:
• Produce and edit original social video for @Vogue TikTok and other emerging platforms as needed
• Be accountable for the management of Vogue’s TikTok, with engagement, franchise development, and audience growth top of mind
• Work with the Director, Creative Development, Social + Visual to develop new video IP across social platforms
• Develop expert knowledge of Vogue’s photo and video archive to use in social content
• Maintain awareness and provide social support to all brand initiatives — including new columns, series, podcasts, and events
• Collaborate with all Vogue editorial teams to have their work represented on social (creative team, commerce team, fashion/market, beauty, etc.)
• Stay up to date on evolving features, trends, and popular social platforms

Desired Skills and Qualifications
• Knowledge of internet culture and digital video landscape (e.g. TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram), the unique elements of each video platform and what makes particular videos successful on those platforms
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage heavy workload, prioritize appropriately, and meet deadlines
• 2+ years experience in the digital media space as a video editor
• Knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics is preferred
• Familiarity with live shopping experiences on social
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) with an emotionally intelligent communication style
