Role Summary:
The Wave Planner uses the FC Warehouse Management System (WMS) to distribute work across the available labor pool in the FFC, in the most efficient manner possible. The inflow (client orders) and release of 'picks' is distributed across the physical FFC and the process path (single, multi, ship alone) using software, mathematical computation, and continuous communication in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Wave planners need to have a strong understanding of priorities and manage Expeditor to know priorities and expedite accordingly.
• Effectively communicates with outbound supervisors.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of WMS wave planning software is needed to evaluate issues and to maximize efficiency.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Investigate and Solve workflow issue using knowledge of all DC operations.
• Effectively communicates issues and directions to associates.
• Evaluates work processes for efficiency.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Follows all safety guidelines and performs in a safe and careful manner.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Previous wave planning/expediting experience preferred.
• Initiative – Volunteers readily; Seeks increased responsibilities; Asks for and offers help when needed.

Mako Waves Distribution is a rapidly growing trucking company looking for motivated and professional Class A CDL drivers for local and regional routes NOW! We are partnered to haul freight exclusively for Amazon, allowing us to provide the benefits of a large business while embodying the culture of a small one. Amazon provides state of the art technology, equipment, logistics... software, and support to ensure our drivers are the best equipped and prepared out there on the road. Currently we are hiring both day cab local routes and sleeper cabs for regional routes. Local trips begin and end at our yard each day, while regional drivers have sleeper cabs and drive to their location, sleep overnight to reset in the cab, and then return to the yard. Wages start at $24 dollars per hour.
Local
Our facility is based in San Bernardino, CA and will begin and end at our yard so drivers will be home after each shift. Virtually all local loads are Drop and Hook and drivers work 3 days per week and occasionally a 4th. Local Drivers earn between $52,000 - $65,000 per year depending on the number of shifts worked. Our partnership with Amazon provides steady reliable work and operations are expanded during the peak months of November - December to allow drivers more opportunity for a fourth day. Drivers are scheduled to work three (3) 13 hour shifts per week Sunday-Saturday, with opportunities for overtime when Mako Waves operates an extra day during the Amazon peak season of November - December.
CDL Class A Local Truck Driver Overview
• Full time employment consisting of three 13 hour blocks.
• Local routes average 300-500 miles roundtrip. Based in San Bernardino CA, drivers are home after each shift.
• Our deliveries are nearly all drop and hook.
• NEW CNG Automatic Tractors with the latest equipment and driver assistance technology
• Opportunities for consistent work based on our Amazon Freight Partnership
• Weekly pay with Direct Deposit
