Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Community reporting (2-3 stories per week) for both broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms
• Pitch, gather, coordinate content for news specials featuring diverse perspectives and centered around major issues facing the greater Charlotte community.
• Attends community events as representative of WBTV
• Attends daily editorial meetings
• Leads and facilitates editorial discussions around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in journalism
• Field reporting and digital experience preferred
• Significant experience creating long-form content
• Some supervisory experience preferred
• Extensive live experience
• Excellent writing and time management skills
• Track-record of developing strong relationships with a variety of sources
• Must exhibit an understanding of broadcast, digital, social and streaming platforms

Job Summary/Description:

WBTV in Charlotte, NC seeks full-time IT Manager. The IT Manager will provide hardware and software support for all departments on multiple computer and networking platforms using a wide variety of business and broadcasting software. End-user technical support skills are essential. Some of the broadcast software utilized are, WideOrbit, BitCentral, Ross Overdrive, ENPS, Edius, as well as Office 365.

Duties include technical support requests, troubleshooting and maintaining servers, workstations, networks, and assistance in maintaining broadcast equipment in an IT environment.

Expertise with installation, support and maintenance of current OS platforms, IP networking technologies is a must. Must be team player with excellent communication and people skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

We prefer you have 5-10 years of professional IT management in a broadcast facility. A Bachelor's Degree or similar certification is preferred, but is not required, as is previous working experience in engineering. - Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision.

WBTV is looking for a journalist to anchor breaking news and weather coverage from our WBTV News Now desk and to go live on our website, app, streaming channel, and social media. Job Summary/Description:

WBTV is seeking a Promotions Producer. The successful candidate will write, shoot, edit, produce, field direct and creatively execute news promos, topicals commercials, station campaigns and marketing projects. The Promotion Producer will work with the Creative Services Director through the process of concepting, executing and delivering promos, graphic elements, behind-the-scenes promos and vignettes, and a wide variety of on-air deliverables. Interacts with external and internal customers, including clients, account executives and news department. This person will also be responsible for additional assignments as given by the Creative Services Director.

You must have strong writing, production, proficient experience in non-linear editing, videography, iNews newsroom computer system and Adobe Creative Suite. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to always interact professionally with internal and external customers. Must have a valid drivers license with a clear motor vehicle record.
