• Interacts with a variety of high-level individuals regarding the planning and monitoring of public works projects (including contractors, developers, utility companies, government agencies, home and business owners etc.), both internally and within the community to provide information, disseminate departmental information and assist in resolving administrative issues related to public works projects; disseminates a variety of information and/or reports to various agencies, division, or departments via telephone, mail, email or FAX.
• Reviews construction plans and traffic control plans for compliance with codes and ordinances.
• Prepares complex, routine and non-routine reports as requested utilizing a variety of software; receives, sorts, summarizes material for the preparation of reports; prepares work reports and staff reports.
• Maintains and upgrades knowledge, skills, and development by attending seminars and training programs and reading trade and professional journals and publications.
