• Provide support and coordination relative to the reporting requirements of the project including the preparation of monthly progress reports
Qualifications
• You have strong commercial and financial acumen
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, finance, accounting, legal or business discipline is preferable.
• You have had exposure to one or more of the following areas; food processing, industrial, warehousing, education, civil and government projects
• You are enthusiastic and a customer focused professional providing exemplary service to clients.
• You have experience working with Jobpac or similar

The engineer selected for this position will, among other things:
• Support a project team to provide engineering design packages for federal, commercial, and university clients
• Prepare project narratives, technical specifications and complete drawing packages in support of an individual client's needs
• Provide engineering oversight and direction to a team of junior engineers and designers
• Provide leadership and training to design team members under your direction
• Write technical specifications for building systems equipment
• Support construction and commissioning activities
• Develop models of power systems and perform detailed short circuit calculations, coordination studies, and arc flash hazard assessments
• Create schematic diagrams such as one-lines and riser diagrams, control system wiring diagrams, and network connection diagrams
• Perform detailed field data collection as required to successfully execute projects
• Effectively communicate project information to project manager, design and construction team members, and clients
• Be responsible for quality and accuracy of your work as well as the work of design team members under your direction
• Work collaboratively with the electrical team across all offices to progress internal standards and aid in the development of your colleagues
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, or obtain through reciprocity within 3 months of start date
• Field knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution systems
• Functional knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with system modeling software (i.e. ETAP, SKM)
• Knowledge and application of sustainable design practices
• Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States
• Candidate must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
Experience:
• 7-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering is required
Desirable:
• Prior consulting experience is preferred
• Federal government design experience is preferred
• Building system design experience is preferred
• LEED accreditation is a plus
• LC certification is a plus
