Job Summary

Performs a variety of duties involving the analysis, evaluation and formulation of methods and designs

for the development and implementation of operations and procedures through the use of Wide Area

Networks, Local Area Networks and microcomputer systems. Responsible for network availability,

reliability, performance, security and serviceability for enterprise communications systems. Provides

project leadership for a wide variety of complex communications projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates proficiency in planning, organizing and coordinating assigned tasks.

2. Attends training classes both internal and external to increase employee's understanding of this field and the technology used.

3. Schedules and organizes multiple tasks as work is assigned.

4. Prepares system specifications defining actual work processes, analyzing data requirements and assessing needs.

5. Prepares hardware and layout cabling configuration.

6. Maintains current knowledge of WAN/LAN/Server standards and associated WAN/LAN developments.

7. Leads project teams in the creation, evaluation, modification and implementation of network configurations to increase network efficiency consistent with Server, Wide Area and Local Area Network requirements and equipment configurations.

8. Establishes WAN/LAN/Server standard configurations and applications solutions.

9. Establishes network server structures and security schemes.

10. Installs and configures advanced network systems while maintaining the integrity of existing network systems.

11. Creates advanced designs, layouts, utilization and configurations for all Network related software and hardware.

12. Integrates the applications software and prepares user interface.

13. Ensures the consistency and integrity of WAN/LAN/Server through the establishment of hardware, software configuration and maintenance standards.

14. Designs complex and multi-platform data communications networks, including determining

protocol utilization and hardware/software compatibility.

15. Responsible for Internet Domain Name System and all extranet communications, including e-

mail routing, security and virus protection systems.

16. Responsible for disaster recovery planning and operations.

17. Gathers and analyzes initial information to gain full understanding of existing operations; defines problems in creating and integrating new systems into WAN/LAN/server and develops recommendations for solutions.

18. Baselines and performs projections of utilization and growth of complex and extensive WAN

and LAN.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two or more years of responsible server installation, integration and management, followed by at least two years of practical server management experience under the supervision of an experience network engineer or equivalent. Position Summary:

The Department of Studio Art in Willamette University's College of
Arts & Sciences welcomes applications for a one-year full-time
non-tenure-track position in Sculpture in the Expanded Field,

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Lighting Designer/Production Supervisor is responsible for
designing three main stage productions; supervising the lighting
& sound studio and stage management teams; teaching one course
a semester in design & technology; and operating as production
manager for Willamette University Theatre. Contractual obligations
follow both the academic school year and a common theatrical
production calendar.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A terminal degree in theatre design and/or management (MFA or PhD).
Must be able to reside in or primarily work in Oregon by the first
day of employment. This is an in-person teaching position.
