• In conjunction with the Leadership Team, assess co-op
programs.
• Review and revised co-op assessment materials, matrixes, tools
and implementation strategy.
• Provide oversight to Co-op Institute.
• Campus Partner Development and Relations – Maintain ongoing
communication and relationships with appropriate Institute
departments; Share data and information with campus partners as
appropriate.
• Review, analyze and report on results. Determine office goals,
strategies, budgets, staffing, planning and all other
administrative necessities.

the Director of Academic Advising and Student Success will have
several responsibilities including:
Advising
· Provide leadership in all aspects of holistic academic advising
including the development, implementation, assessment, and
continuous improvement of effective and data informed best
practices in academic advising.
· In collaboration with the Assistant Provost, design, implement,
update and continuously assess a faculty advisor training model and
communication plan that centers holistic advising methods and best
practices for student engagement and retention.
· Oversee the creation and maintenance of resources and
informational materials, handbooks, websites, and other advising
resources for faculty, staff, and students in a variety of
media.
· Develop and maintain record keeping guidelines and trainings on
advising interactions and communications.
· Maintain a caseload of students and use a developmental
philosophy and holistic approach to build relationships with
assigned advisees. Advise students regarding meaningful educational
plans, academic policies, degree requirements, registration,
satisfactory academic progress, academic opportunities and possible
applications of academic coursework to majors, careers, and other
student interests.
· In collaboration with Institutional Effectiveness, conduct
quantitative and qualitative analyses on key metrics including
retention, graduation rates, and time to graduation. Use data to
understand the full range of academic advising needs of students
and how these needs impact student success.
Supervision
· Supervise and effectively manage a team of nine Student Success
Advisors. Responsibilities include hiring and orientation, training
and development, workflow and performance management, and the
overall promotion of an inclusive and innovative work
environment.
· Work with Success Studio leadership group to develop budget
requests and needs for advising.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
· Build collaborative partnerships with Academic Deans and faculty
advisors to develop an effective advisor development program. Serve
as an expert resource on advising related matters for faculty
advisors.
· Collaborate with the other departments within the Division of
Academic Affairs, the Division of Student Affairs, the Division of
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and other campus partners on
student experience related goals outlined in the Strategic
Plan.
· Oversee the development, preparation and execution of a range of
activities, including workshops and materials, designed to assist
specific student populations.
· In conjunction with Success Studio team, develop annual and
semester based operational and communication plans related to
advising functions that fit into the larger operational and
communication goals of the studio.
· Serve as member of Success Studio leadership team.
· Participate in Community wide events and/or serve on committees
as designated by supervisor. Some late hours and weekend work are
required for events and programs.

· In collaboration with the Assistant Provost, design, implement,
update and continuously assess a faculty advisor training model and
communication plan that centers holistic advising methods and best
practices for student engagement and retention.
· Oversee the creation and maintenance of resources and
informational materials, handbooks, websites, and other advising
resources for faculty, staff, and students in a variety of
media.
· Develop and maintain record keeping guidelines and trainings on
advising interactions and communications.
· Maintain a caseload of students and use a developmental
philosophy and holistic approach to build relationships with
assigned advisees. Advise students regarding meaningful educational
plans, academic policies, degree requirements, registration,
satisfactory academic progress, academic opportunities and possible
applications of academic coursework to majors, careers, and other
student interests.
· In collaboration with Institutional Effectiveness, conduct
quantitative and qualitative analyses on key metrics including
retention, graduation rates, and time to graduation. Use data to
understand the full range of academic advising needs of students
and how these needs impact student success.
Supervision
· Supervise and effectively manage a team of nine Student Success
Advisors. Responsibilities include hiring and orientation, training
and development, workflow and performance management, and the
overall promotion of an inclusive and innovative work
environment.
· Work with Success Studio leadership group to develop budget
requests and needs for advising.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
· Build collaborative partnerships with Academic Deans and faculty
advisors to develop an effective advisor development program. Serve
as an expert resource on advising related matters for faculty
advisors.
· Collaborate with the other departments within the Division of
Academic Affairs, the Division of Student Affairs, the Division of
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and other campus partners on
student experience related goals outlined in the Strategic
Plan.
· Oversee the development, preparation and execution of a range of
activities, including workshops and materials, designed to assist
specific student populations.
· In conjunction with Success Studio team, develop annual and
semester based operational and communication plans related to
advising functions that fit into the larger operational and
communication goals of the studio.
· Serve as member of Success Studio leadership team.
· Participate in Community wide events and/or serve on committees
as designated by supervisor. Some late hours and weekend work are
required for events and programs.
