- Oversight of a committee mission and vision which aims to foster diversity among students, faculty, staff, and community by cultivating and promoting inclusiveness, awareness, and acceptance.

-Conduct continuous research on pertinent DEI issues aimed specifically at the Wright State University- Lake Campus student population.
-Raise Funds/apply for grants for hosting related events/activities.
-Develop, offer, and continue to update an entry-level diversity training workshop to serve the Lake Campus and community populations.

Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine, Department of Geriatrics is seeking a faculty member to support and enhance the Geriatrics and Palliatave Medicine services that include a broad spectrum of patient care needs, clinical research initiatives, and undergraduate and graduate medical education for the Departments of Geriatrics, Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residencies, and the Boonshoft School of Medicine. This position includes clinical and teaching activities across settings of care including hospital consults, ambulatory clinic care, and transitions of care for patients being discharged from the hospital to home, assisted living, or a nursing facility.
Minimum Qualifications
By an agreed start date you have or will have -
1. MD or DO degree; and
2. Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency; and
3. Completion of or current enrollment in an accredited Geriatric Medicine or Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship; and
4. Eligibility to take the Geriatric Medicine or Hospice and Palliative Medicine board certification exam (if not complete prior to hire a timeline commitment for completion will be assigned with offer letter); and
5. DEA Registration; and
6. Ohio Medical License.
Assistant Professor: All of the above requirements.
Associate Professor level candidates must fulfill all the requirements above, along with at least 5 years' experience as an Assistant Professor with an exemplary scholarly portfolio and supervisory experience.

Essential Functions and percent of time
(60%) Provide direct patient care in inpatient and community-based settings to patients with a variety of medical needs, from diagnosis to management of complex disease processes. Patient documentation requires skill in electronic medical record system.
(30%) Didactic and direct patient care teaching and supervision of Geriatric Medicine fellows, Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellows, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents, and medical students in inpatient. Ambulatory care, and community-based settings. Provide academic leadership in quality patient care. Utilize strong interpersonal skills.
(5%) Scholarly activities such as submission to peer reviewed journals, presentations at local, regional, and national discipline-related professional societies as well as membership in discipline-related professional organizations.
(5%) Administrative duties and other service activities as determined by the Department Chairs.
Working Conditions
This position will include clinical assignments in hospitals, ambulatory clinics, home healthcare, assisted living facilities and nursing facilities.

Prepare Travel Expense Reports for faculty, staff and student national and international travel. Coordinate budget transfers with other departments on campus for student and faculty performances on campus.
10% Research, disseminate and assist with implementation of National Association of Schools of Music policies and procedures for compliance and reaccreditation.
