Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review rundowns and scripts
- Develop new content for morning shows
- Assist news leadership team in executing content initiatives across all platforms
- Help develop content via the 7 News Digital desk (over the top programming)
- Represent the morning team in editorial meetings
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Journalism degree, or equivalent
- Excellent writer/storyteller
- Excellent newscast producer
- Excellent news judgement

Job Summary/Description:
WWNY/WNYF/MeTV has an opening for a part-time Technical Media Producer. Expected to maintain and ensure the broadcast quality of on-air product. Perform the assigned duties/tasks in a live control-room environment which broadcasts 3 local television affiliates. Direct live or pre-recorded productions as assigned.
Performs live control-room duties in a fast paced environment, including managing commercial playlists, executing program commercial/promotional changes, logging discrepancies and upholding broadcast standards and FCC regulations. Strong attention to detail, multitasking and time management skills are necessary. Direct live and prerecorded productions as assigned for 7News programming. Daily work with the following platforms: Ross Overdrive automation, Ross production video switcher (Acuity), ENPS, Xpression Graphics, Adobe Suite, supporting equipment in Production/Master Control - including the ability to effectively perform operations with robotic camera operation, prompter operation, audio operation and a working knowledge of non-linear editing.
Must work well unsupervised and within a team environment. Must possess troubleshooting, analytical skills and work well under pressure. Must be willing to work a varied schedule to support a broadcast environment which includes nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. Candidate should to be technically inclined with sharp computer skills. Training provided. Broadcast experience preferred, but not required.
