As a Senior Data Engineer at Zip, you'll have the opportunity to build solutions across a broad range of big-data and distributed compute technologies that enable key processes for our Risk, Analytics, Product, Finance, and Operations teams. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll need exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate up, down, and across the organization.

About You
• You write efficient code (Scala, Python, Java) and are comfortable learning new technologies to support our evolving data platform.
• You have deep experience with analytical data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift or similar.
• You are a master at SQL, building efficient data structures, and engineering and modelling best practices.
• You are familiar with implementing and optimizing big data technologies like Spark to support massive data scale.
• You've implemented enterprise data platforms in a cloud environment (We're an Azure shop, but AWS and GCP are acceptable as well).
• You understand the value of documented systems and have experience writing automated tests to ensure the stability and quality of our data platform.
• You are able to help make sense of all the above for junior engineers.
