Responsibilities
• Responsible for the timely collection & reconciliation of all open items on accounts within assigned portfolio
• Manage all International accounts
• Assist other team members when needed
• Maintain aging of assigned portfolio within department requirements
• Coordinate with Customer Service, AR, and all cross-function teams to resolve chargebacks, disputes & reconciliations
• Identify problem accounts/situations and recommend a course of action to Management
• Adhere to corporate/department policies & procedures & meet/exceed assigned goals
• Assist with special projects & miscellaneous duties as required
• Maximize systems & technology to improve efficiencies & deliver results
Qualifications
• Previous credit/collection experience required
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to perform in a high volume, high pressure, and multi-task environment
• High level of professionalism
• Proficient in Word, Excel & basic computer skills
• Strong oral & written skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish is preferred

• Enter corrections specified by production editorial team into manuscripts using Microsoft Word and HarperCollins’s proprietary markup language
• Apply manuscript structuring/styling where needed

• Slug passes of books against previous passes, checking corrections
• Quality-check eBooks across a variety of genres and formats (simple to high design), identifying errors in content, construction, and functionality
• Perform administrative tasks as needed
• Proofread materials for other departments within the company, as needed
Qualifications
• 0-2 years’ experience in an editorial capacity (proofreading, copyediting, corrections entering) or degree in applicable subject (publishing, journalism, English)
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Strong interest in eBooks, digital publishing technologies, and digital innovation
• Demonstrated ability to produce work that is detail oriented
